Confirmation strengthens the grace received at Baptism and equips young Catholics to live as committed disciples of Jesus Christ. Through the gifts of the Holy Spirit, candidates are called to deepen their faith, live their baptismal promises, and actively participate in the life of the Church.
Program Information
- Eligibility: Grade 4 and older students
- Session Dates: October 14 to November 18, 2027
- Class Time: Thursdays from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM
- No Class: November 11, 2027
- Location: St. Jean Baptiste Church

- A one-time registration fee of $60 per child includes sacramental preparation materials and activity books.

Choosing a Sponsor
A Confirmation sponsor is required. The sponsor should be someone who can guide and support the candidate in their faith journey.
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Have received Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist
- Be a practicing Catholic
- Not be the candidate’s mother or father
- Serve as a mentor and role model in the faith
- Godparents may serve as sponsors if they meet these requirements
Parent Involvement
Parents are expected to attend sessions with their child and participate in the parent formation sessions. Family involvement is essential in helping young people grow in faith and prepare to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Parents are expected to attend the sessions with their child and participate in the 3 Parent sessions that will coincide with children sessions 2, 3 and 4.
More information will be provided at the Parent Meeting on Thursday, September 10 at
7:00pm at St Jean Baptiste Church. Please note that this will be the only registration session and will include registration for
Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation.
