The Sacrament of Reconciliation is often the first sacrament of healing that children receive. Through God’s mercy and forgiveness, children learn about God’s unconditional love and how reconciliation strengthens their relationship with Christ and His Church.
At St. Jean Baptiste Parish, we welcome children in Grade 3 or older and their families to begin this important step in their sacramental journey. Parents play a vital role in nurturing their child’s faith and are invited to participate throughout the preparation process
Program Information
- Eligibility: Grade 3 and older students
- Session Dates: September 10 to October 22, 2026
- Class Time: Thursdays from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM
- Location: St. Jean Baptiste Church
- Program Leader: Nadine Stoyko
- A one-time registration fee of $60 per child covers all sacramental preparation materials, including activity books for Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and Confirmation.
Parent Involvement
Parents are expected to attend sessions with their child and participate in the three designated parent sessions. Together, families will explore the meaning of God’s forgiveness and the importance of reconciliation in everyday life. Parents are expected to attend the sessions with their child and participate in the 3 Parent sessions that will coincide with children sessions 2, 3 and 4.

- Guided preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation

7:00pm at St Jean Baptiste Church. Please note that this will be the only registration session and will include registration for
Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation.
